My 10 years at VIDAL SASSOON (1973 - 1983 as a manager/stylist in Munich, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, and San Francisco) were very exciting and formed the crucial basis for my life. At 71, I am still cutting/colouring hair in a very pleasant environment in the latter city. The skill I acquired at VIDAL also served me in good stead in another unexpected way: I was the hair and Make-up Assistant on the movie AMADEUS for which our department won just one of the film's eight Oscars, and I was even "discovered" by Milos Forman. He cast me as the wig salesman opposite Mozart in the feature! A great hobby/career as a film actor began as an result, and many more movies followed!
