Roger Thompson. 1941-1999.

Roger Thompson,the man Vidal handed the torch to and who guided Vidal's
revolution into the next decade.At 21 given Grosvenor House Hotel Salon to run and
consequently the whole artistic direction of the company until his
departure in 1972. Roger's leadership and potency of ideas helped
secure the dominance of Vidal Sassoon hairdressing to this day. (Flint Whincop)

For me Roger was the very best cutter of hair shapes, his sense of touch and sensitivity of texture and line was so beautiful every time , I never saw a bad thing to come from him. His pictures are so beautiful too they will out live time.
He was my absolute mentor a fabulous man, I am sad we lost him so early.

I am thrilled to see this web site. I had the great pleasure of training and working directly with Roger from 1989-98, and kept in close contact with him till his death in 1999. He was my mentor and close friend. I miss him terribly. I will always be greatful and humbled by my time with Roger.
