I'm quite fortunate really in having had a large insurance payout at the end of last year and so indulged my lust for a Dslr/dSLR.I got an Olympus E500 with two lenses.Sadly, you only get what you pay for ,£650 the lot,and my only complaint is the 28mm setting produces builings which lean alarmingly. Now if you try Fuji's site you can pick up new cameras for a fraction of the going rate.I got a Fuji S5600(5200 to our US friends),a current model, for well over £100 off.

You get stuff sent free, no wonder they call you Lucky Trev.
All I get in the post is bills, fines, and threatening letters.

Of course its the Boots store. !! I'd bee nwrking my way up through various Sony models, and was considering the new 'alpha' but with a good lens it was outside my budget. Then
I found a Fujifilm S2 body almost new + good Nikkor 18-70mm, 2GB card, 18 months warranty for about $700. Its an old model but produces absolutely first rate images, at least can do so if you learn how to use it probably.

Fulham Palace Road, zoomed through the windscreen, in Greyhound Road while resting from the exertions of taking the photographs looking back into Greyhound Road.
This little G6 is not bad but I am still saving for a DSLR.
Latest purchase estimate, 29 12 2009.

Something about this scene---I'm not sure what---reminds me to be appreciative of nature's bounty.
