The ship is the cruise ship European Union, registered in Belgium and carrying passengers from several nations. It had just docked to allow these people to disembark. A large proportion of the UK passengers believed that the cruise was not going as promised and decided to end it. A vote was taken about disembarking and the majority said "Let's get off." The captain's last words over the ship's loudspeaker system, spoken in a Belgian accent (if there is such a thing), were rather harsh and reeked of anxiety.
Some of the people are waving a fond farewell to those still aboard. Some are sad that they had to get off. Some are in a daze, thinking "Did this really happen?" A new cruise is planned.
