These are not covered.
They run 24 hours a day, putting a very fine mist of oil in the air in the submarine.
And adding to the horrendous noise.
A submariner told me the noise got really bad when they switched on the supercharger's.
They called them "Screamers" as the noise they made sound like a continuous scream.
