Space Shuttle Main Engine (SSME) Nozzle. Also seen are purge lines and the 'Steerhorns', left/right, which transport liquid hydrogen to a manifold at the bottom of the Nozzle. Supercold hydrogen then flows up individual tubes back to the Main Combustion Chamber. This cooling effect keeps the Nozzle from melting during operation.
