Again CJ's beaten me to the punch saying a lot of the things that I might have said, though I'd add that you made a good choice of DOF there. It helps that the light was relatively benign as well; often when people have sun on their faces they tend to scrunch their eyes in an unappealing fashion. (Probably less of a problem with higher latitude Canadian light than Australian light, though.) Though I'm guessing from the timestamp and the shadows that the sun hadn't yet reached full intensity at that point. I'm guessing that you were using either the 70-200 f/2.8 or 70-200 f/2.8 IS, though at 1/3200th of a second the IS would be less of an issue; nice result whatever it was.

That worked out quite well -- about as good an
example as there is of where just a patch of
light can be used by a photographer to very well
guide the viewer's eye just where the photographer
wants the viewer's eye attention to go. Very good
timing on this one to make best use that light
which was there in that moment.
