Lakes Regional Park

I met Kevin Fung and Carol Ann at Lakes Park while attempting to photograph the Scarlet Ibis.
Kevin is seen here attempting to photograph what he initially thought was a bittern, well hidden in a stand
of cattails, but he later told me that the bird he'd photographed was a moorhen. This avid wildlife enthusiast
spoke to me about birds he was on the hunt for, some of which I had never heard of. Kevin will be traveling to
Minnesota to meet up with Carol Ann whom he drove to the airport yesterday. He gave me the impression
he will be successful in his birding up north and I'm looking forward to seeing his documentation.
Kevin's a portrait artist and volunteers for local birding clubs.
