Join us for a walk through the Swiss Garden at Old Warden in Bedfordshire. It and the Shuttleworth Collection of Aircraft and Road Transport https://pbase.com/jim_w/shuttleworth are located on land that looks to have been part of the grounds belonging to the Old Mansion House. When we went to the site it was with the intention of visiting the Falcon Display that is also in the grounds. We paid for our tickets and were pointed in the direction of the childrens Playground and told we would find the Falcons beyond it. We did not see the display area and asked a couple out walking the dog they informed us that it was the other side of the Old House so on we went. After at fifteen minute walk I took the first picture of the day, the rather splended Manour House, and found a site map. We had walked about ten minutes longer than we needed to. On the way back we cut through the farm but still saw no sign of Falcons and by this time we had missed out on the flying display. We then went back to the reception complained about the lack of signs and asked to exchange our tickets for entry into the Swiss Garden. The staff in the reception were very good and within five minutes we were enjoying the garden. Let the gallery tell you the rest. When we came out they were just finishing a Jaguar owners meeting and putting a couple of planes back into the hangers. Please feel free to comment, if you think others would like to see the gallery please vote,
but most of all Enjoy.
