Crash 1.jpg

This is what's left of the car my son was riding in a few nights ago. The doors and roof had to be cut off to get him and his friends out. My son was in the front passenger seat and received a broken pelvis along with lots of bumps and bruises. The boy sitting behind him had his leg severely broken that needed to be pinned back together. The 2 girls on the driver's side just had minor injuries. At least they all survived.

I am glad all four kids came through okay, considering. It doesn't look like they were hit by a small car. The impact area on the front fender indicates a fairly high front bumper.

Thank you for posting this. It reaffirms why my family only drives Volvos.

May your son's recovery, and that of his friends, be speedy and full.

G, believe me the topic of what could have been in another car has been discussed at great length with the parents of the other kids.

Thank god it was a Volvo, Sweeden's car safty should be a worldwide benchmark.
It doesn't bare thinking about what could have happened in any other car.
I'm glad everyone lived to tell the tale.
