A group of us arrived at the Dail Beag beach to take some evening photographs to find driving rain, dark grey skies and a gale force wind. The consensus was to wait to see if conditions improved. After about an hour the rain eased so we went out only for the rain to start again almost immediately. Time to pack up and go home but, as we were doing so, there was a brief break in the cloud which allowed the sun to bathe the sky and beach in a wonderful golden, orange light. Within two minutes the light show was over.
