Northern Ireland

Part of my U.K. and Ireland trip in 2003. This is one of my favorite places. If someone recommends against visiting N. Ireland, inform this person of his/her extreme ignorance and go against their advice! The political struggles are fascinating to study, and this is, in my opinion, the most beautiful region on the island.

I mean i have sunday through thursday to do county clare and kerry. ( the first sunday to friday would be doing the north and then driving to dublin, and the second sunday to thursday would be to do gap of dunloe, aran islands etc)

jeff, your pictures are absolutely beautiful and being that you did northern ireland i can use a lot of help. I plan on coming in early october and i would love to do county Donegal ( hike slieve league) and county Antrim ( Giant Causeway, carreck rope bridge, glenariff waterfalls, dunluce castle , kilbane castle, Torr head scenic drive) So the thing is, i have no idea how much time i need to do all these things i mentioned and how many days i should save for the North because i need to be in Dublin for the weekend.I will be coming with my husband and renting a car for about 11 or 12 days beginning on a sunday or monday. So would it make sense to land in Belfast and hire a car there and then spend a few days there in the north and drive to Dublin for Friday and Saturday? And then Sunday do county Clare and Kerry. I want to do the Gap of Dunloe and the Arran Islands maybe the Dingle peninsula. What do you think?

i have been to Tollymore and Giants Causeway and i will be going back on March 29!! I am very excited!! It is one Beautiful place!!

I was visiting Ireland this summer, and Belfast was my favourite Irish city. Full of culture and shops too.

Thanks for the images. I was in N.Ireland this summer (2004), and loved it. It is beutiful and fascinating. I took some images as well, but yours impressed me far more. Canada
