Clearwing Moth (Synanthedon sp.)

Kanata, Ontario

This tiny clearwing moth was enjoying the blossoms of the Arrowwood Viburnum in my backyard. I asked Diane Lepage her opinion on which species it might be, and she suggested Synanthedon arctica. There seems to be little information regarding this species on the internet, so I will leave it as undetermined for now.

Fabulous find!!! I love the clearwings, such un-mothlike creatures, and so beautiful. V
