This was taken on the same morning as the first post in this gallery, in the early hour just before dawn. From our hotel (the Princess Inle Resort), the form in silhouette of an adjacent resort could just be seen through the mist floating above the frigid waters of the lake in the freezing morning air. The picture was taken hand-held at ISO 1600 and shutter speed of 1/8 sec. The dim light of the early morning plus the effect of the mist have muted the colours and softened the details of the image, making it look almost like a water-colour painting. There is a distinct reddish tone to the image which is straight from the camera, but I liked the overall effect and decided not to post-process the picture at all.
