Lotus gardens are commonly found in many Chinese temples. In the Buddhist faith, the lotus flower symbolises faithfulness, and there are many poems in China about the lotus flower, often describing how they come out of the dirty mud under the water and yet retain their pureness, freshness and beauty. But I was surprised by the size of the lotus flowers in this garden, they must be the biggest I have seen to-date.
