In your memory
I light this candle
May the images of that day
Never go away...

I was a new Mom and feeding my baby in her high chair. I had Good Morning America on
like every other morning.
I was watching it all live with Charles Gibson reporting and then Peter Jennings.
I will never forget how scared I was and how tight I held my new baby.

The phone rang. and I pulled off to the side of the road by the airport of all places. I was on my way to the drug store to pick up medications for my Father. I didn't realize I could be any sadder until my sister told me that our country was under attack. I don't think we even spoke of my Father. Life changed on that day in many more ways than I could ever imagine.

I was just up going to sign the closing papers on our house....I thought it was an accident at first. Then couldn't get thru to my family for HOURS...(they are in NJ and my sister in law works not 2 blocks from the WTC. Turns out it was her daughter's first day of school so she wasn't at work...

sigh

I was working, and the only source of information was the internet. I thought of a giant web piracy - it could only be fake. Then we realized it was true...

I remember being at the horse farm - waiting to hear from 2 people that I had flying that day - one being the owner of the farm (both were fine) but a long wait since the telephone lines were busy! Great tribute Jen - GMV

I can never forget the images that came out of those
first few days and how the sadness and destruction that
occured, forever changed our lives.
Light a candle and say a prayer.
