EL AL B-767-200 ER, 4X-EAD

Tel Aviv Airport, Israel view map

After my trips to Soviet Union and Japan, I managed to publish some photos and reportages in the best and most prestigious news magazines in Portugal.
Soon, I was invited to do a big series of news on Israel and Sinai, I wouldn't know at the time how important they became...
I started to get a whole lot of free flights on El Al, and even become quite a friend to some of its representatives.
Israel was going trough some big democratic reforms, and it was a perfect time for it.
I could try their Boeing B-767, sometimes replaced byt the B-757 when not full! In this case, they'd stop at Marseilles Airport in France, breaking away the othewrwise 5 hours flight.
I can say only the best about ElAl! I was affraid of the military Pilots, but in fact, they were excellent, and very careful with the passengers! the Cabin Crew were fantastic too, and I had good fun with them...
I came to realise the Boeing B-767 was the BEST airplane ever made! The most stable, most spacious, most comfortable. Later a Pilot explained to me it had a very well made wing! It was the 1st Boeing answer to the raising success of Airbus, and in fact, it is a great airplane!
Still used extensively in Japan, slowly being replaced by the more economic B-787, with much smaller seats, and much less space in Economy...
