In spite of giving the name to these Islands! Cayman in Spanish means Crocodile.

Before, the Islands were called Tortugas (Turtles), much more appropriate. But because they had a tremendous bad reputation as pirates den, decided to change name!...
In fact, I've never seen so rude and unfriendly locals! Fortunately many shops and hotels have USA residents. Particularly, the Government officials I had the displeasure to meet... Horrendous! Above all, keep forgetting they ARE a Colony of the UK!
