Also known as Seabreams, Black Bream and Old Wife.
Found singly or in large schools over rock and sandy bottoms as well as in seagrass beds.
They feed on invertebrates and seaweed.
Length - 30cm
Depth - 5-300m
Widespread Eastern Atlantic, Mediterranean and Black Sea
