Like a story from a film:
In 1985 there was a terrible civil war in Mozambique, claiming 1000's of lives.
I accepted the challenge of filming a commercial film for a railway construction consortium, in the North, one of the most dangerous areas.
On the 1st of December was a special holiday in Portugal, and amazingly also there.
I decided to visit the Ilha de Mocambique, a place completely abandoned and off limits at the time.
It almost cost our lives... another story...
Anyway, when we arrived in the deserted Fortress of Mocambique, the derelict door was locked, and nobody else to ask...
As I am NOT a politically correct person (God forbids), we gained entrance...
...such an outstanding place I swore to return...
And did!
