Just a little nitpick here. Do you mean 'that' particular baseball was invented in 1939?? Because baseball as we know it has been around since the 1800's. If you check the official Major League Baseball site here:http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/history/mlb_history_teams.jsp you will see the Atlanta Braves franchise dates all the way back to 1871. But anyhoo, as far as your photograph goes, I love it, the lighting is great. You can tell that old ball has seen it's share of fastballs and homeruns :)

Amazing photo, JD. In addition to what's already been said, I love the way you've composed this, so the long shadow of the ball extends to the left of the frame. Very tastefully done - first rate!
