My wife & I took a "Solar Eclipse Photography" course at our local community college prior to this event. Then the whole class carpooled over to Pendleton in Eastern Oregon and spent the night in the gym of Blue Mountain Community College there. Then the next morning everyone was setting up for the eclipse. However, there were a lot of high clouds so we left in our car and ended up surrounded by wheat fields. Still had high clouds, but they were thinner. Anyway while the quality does not show well in these scanned images, it was an awesome sight! Oregon gets treated to another total eclipse on Aug 21, 2017! We plann on being there, especially since the center of the path is only about 100 miles south of us!
