Notice the Polar Bear in the lower left and the Svalbard Reindeer at the upper right. While the Polar Bear does eat reindeer, it is usually only ones he chances upon that are dead or very sick. He would not be able to catch these reindeer so does not even try. This was taken from onboard ship near #11 in the map at the start of my images. It is near the far northwestern corner of Spitsbergen Island.
