My grandfather is Mitchell Arseniu. He was stationed here 57-59. I have a photo of his barracks, the only rooma in this building with the windows completely blocked out. He wrote for security reasons on the back on the photo. His barracks was the far right 3 rooms bottom floor. The sign out in the photo in front of his barracks says 69th AAA GF US ARMY. My name is Jess Keopke,
I was stationed at the Rheinland Kaserne in Ettlingen in 1964. I was with the 502nd Engineer Floating Bridge company, and I am thrilled to find these pictures of the kaserne. I was transferred from the 502nd to the 55th Engineer Panel bridge company at Smiley Barracks in Karlsruhe after making SGT E5, and stayed at Smiley until I left Germany in late 1967.
