James, Your blog on Carrollton brought tears to my eyes.
Two of my kids will never see my childhood home...all I have left is one brick and the memories.
Thanks for the stroll down abandoned lane.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for visiting my gallery. Your galleries are also very nice, specially the Yosemite gallery.

For the lightning shots, I took the long exposure time approach using tripod and shutter release. The lightning stroke just appeared within the shot. So usually it takes many shots to get one capture.

Jim,
Thanks for the interest in my Bird Self-portrait gallery. I am a retired physicist and still tend to view photos as data and the camera as an opportunity to build gadgets. I need to browse more galleries like yours to put a little art into it.

Hi!
I am a sophmore at Corona High school, and am competing in National History Day next month, at the State leval of competition. Having gone through more than four levals to reach this competition, I thought it time to revise my project. As I was revising my project, I thought I could add a charactor, and your photo of the capitol building at night is perfect for a backdrop for the anonymous reporter. I would of course add it into my bibliography, and give you complete credit. If this is possible, please e-mail me back as soon as possible. Thank you very much for your time, and effort. Sincerely, ~Anna~

The photos you took of San Miguel Allende, Mexico are beautiful. My wife and I will be visiting the colonial cities of Mexico's heartland in the month of April and you gave me some wonderful ideas. How colorful! By seeing your photos I felt for a moment I was there.
Thanks for sharing.
