Snow comes to southern New England each year, usually around winter time, and each year southern New Englanders are baffled anew by the slippery white stuff. The drivers that parked in the narrow ribbon of lot near the building parked on a downslope, heavy-end-down. When it came time to attempt to leave the next morning, they got a quick-and-dirty lesson in the physics of winter. Most eventually got out. Some returned the next night (and the next) to repeat the experiment, and the results were mind-bogglingly similar each time.
