Mid May in Provincetown -- beautiful and still fairly uncrowded. It's a beach plum, it's all over the place, and it eventually does bear fruit. It also has a tendency to show up as a blob of MAGENTA! in full sun, at least with my camera and film.
The light on the outer Cape is slightly ethereal -- my theory is it's a result of water on three sides reflecting and refracting sunlight all over the place. In this case I noticed that even in full sun, shadows were slightly diluted. It's a unique location; captured much better by talented locals. Just passing through, I add my point of view :-)
