On Saturday, September 29, 2007, between 90 and 100 former Ballinger High School students (including spouses) met at the Hampton Inn in Fredericksburg, Texas, for a full day of fun, food and fellowship. The day ended with a "funtabulous" show at the new Rockbox Theater owned by another former Ballinger student, Russ Hearn. He and his wife, Wendy, and their extremely talented cast gave a wonderful performance that had us all laughing and cheering. They also did a great slide show presentation featuring the old Ballinger High School and graduation pictures of all of those who had reservations for the show. I don't know how we can thank our organizer, Joanne Dallinger Cheshier, for all the work she did and the outstanding results she achieved. We had so much food left over from the "snack table" that she was able to donate food to two grateful families. The catered dinner was excellent, too. Also many thanks to the staff at the Hampton Inn and Sunday House Inn, especially Christina and John, even if John did try to panic Joanne at the last minute. I'm hoping to receive more pictures to add to this gallery from the rest of you who had cameras there. I enjoyed seeing everyone and certainly had a wonderful time and I hope all of you did, too.
