A Lion at Rosenborg Castle in Copenhagen

Copenhagen, Denmark

One of the lions in front of Rosenborg Castle in Copenhagen, Denmark. This particular lion has its tunge on a hinge. Rumour has it that the son of King Christian IV - who was rather fond of the night life of Copenhagen - had a spare key for the castle hidden under the tongue :-) Whatever the case may be, lots of children now enjoy to flap the lions tongue.
