A young Galapagos Tortoise (Geochelone elephantopus) in Copenhagen Zoo. Recently, a supposedly 250-years old example of this species died! IOW, it was born around 1756 - the year that Mozart was born! An adult Galapagos Tortoise can weigh as much as 250 kg and the shield can reach a length of more than one meter.
