This is the view I see every day from the front room in my house.
I have lived here for 22 years and I know most of the different looks of this stretch of water – the Hauraki Gulf.
But Saturday morning at 8am I was surprised to see the sun shining softly on the water this way.
Usually it glistens like diamonds, but this day it just glowed softly, so I rushed out with my camera.
It reminded me of many evening shots, when the moon rises before the sky gets too dark.
