With my photo friends, Pam, and Dawn, I went to check out the Buskers Festival at Auckland City on Saturday February 02 2008.
We managed to see only 4 of the 14 acts, and had fun photographing the Buskers themselves as well as the audiences watching.
The advertising blurb reads:
"The hottest busking acts from around the world set Auckland's street corners and squares on fire each summer. From the Viaduct to Aotea Square the streets will be transformed into a playground for some of the world's most talented International Street Performers.
The festival ran from Friday 1st Wednesday 6th February 2008. Day shows start every day at 12 noon. Night shows are run on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday during the festival running from 7:30pm to 11:00pm."

Fun gallery Janice.I love attending and shooting buskers.I'll be getting out next week doing the same at our local Fringe Festival in Edmonton(one of the largest in Canada). It runs for 10 days in August and features a variety of plays at different venues around the city.I don't go for the plays as much as the street performers as you have here.I keyed in a few years ago on one of your own...a Kiwi called Basketball Jones....hope he's back this year!
Well done Janice on all these great photos in this gallery, you have certainly captured some nice natural and sharp images of Aucklanders enjoying the busking.
