No Wait....Don't Go Towards the Light

Sintra, Portugal

As Anitta said of the previous photo, at Monserrate it is difficult to take a picture without a person in your shot.
So instead of fighting it, I went with it.
I used the lighting and this person to create a rather dark scene.
I tried it in black and white but felt it worked better desaturated like this.

Canon EOS 70D
1/6s f/3.5 at 18.0mm iso200 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Nice one Jane, I find that people are not always cooperating and we must include them.
Love the high key feel at the entrance and the nice exposure of the interior.

The way you have gone with the light this time has given a certain mystery amidst that wonderful architecture...V

I much prefer it when people are in the shot, it adds life to the photo and gives a sense of scale. A really nice and interesting image. V
