Climbing the Steps

Sintra, Portugal

Once we made it to the Morrish Castle there were still all those steps to climb.
I made it to that top turret in this shot.
I'm not a fan of heights so I hugged that old stone wall and looked straight ahead.
The view from there was a wonderful reward.

A little effort for a great picture.

I with you there, Jane. I don't like heights either but sometimes you have to face your fears to get the right shot. Well done.BV

Nicely composed for a good idea of the height and the steepness. V

This is a nice shot of a great structure, it seems so "plumb" at it's age. Proud of you for making it to the top and down again.

ingenious how it was built into the rocky slope...super comp, and bravo for the climb..

Good for you, Jane. Stone steps can be daunting. Coming back down also has its nervous moments.

What a fun place to explore.

That looks like more steps than what I would like. Great image, Jane.

Quite a feat, I'd say! Excellent capture of the castle from this lower perspective. V.
