This is a 700 series Shinkansen in Hikari Railstar livery. Other than the different paint these Hikari railstar models are only 8 cars long rather than 16. They have no green car (first class), but all seating is 2 + 2 rather than 2 + 3 which is the normal seating in non reserved standard class on Shinkansen.This Shinkansen was on the Hikari 470 service from Hakata to Shin-Osaka.
