Original caption: "Fort Scott. Battery Chamberlin. This 6-inch gun battery (Barbette) located on a beach is completely covered with flat top netting, garlanded with burlap and painted with infra red oil points. The rear fo the battery is in the trees which provide natural cover for roads and paths to the main road.
"The embrasure consists of the two sliding sections fo garlanded fish net which are unhooked and pulled to each side in a few seconds. Simulated bushes on the blast apron are portable and readily removed.
"The netting over the B.C. Station is terraced over the main flat top of the battery to allow for continuous observation."
