Gröndalsgruvan (The Gröndal mine) at the Klackberg field, just outside Norberg has been in operation at least since the 1400th century. The unique round headframe made of wedge shaped slag bricks with its greenish cast has been refurbished and holds intact machinery, including the adjacent compressor equipment from 1907.
All mining operations at the Klackberg field ended in 1967.
