The cableway is typically some ten meters above ground, but at the impressive crossing of the Hjälmaren strait, the pylons were made tall enough to allow ships to pass. The highest one is 48 meters above the sea level.
When the cableway was taken out of service, all buckets were left upside down to prevent them from getting filled with rain, snow and dirt.
