The above graphic reflects the setting of the early 1800's around the Temperance and Jacksonville, Ga. areas. Capt. John Willcox mustered men here to fight the Indians at the Battle of Breakfast Branch. His son, Mark, later a major general, was wounded in the battle. He was rescued by an enemy (see articles for that story).
