Lumber City Unknown Lawman Possibly Bill Willis

We don't know the identity of this fellow. However, 91-year-old Barney Goodman, formerly of Lumber City, thinks it is Bill Willis, a former lawman of Lumber City. Barney said he was later killed while acting as watchman for one of the clubs located near Lumber City on the Little Ocmulgee River. He is buried in an unmarked grave in Riverside Cemetery near Lumber City. We need to mark this grave! Probably only Barney knows of the location in the cemetery! Time to act!

In the Telfair County History, a fellow named Will Willis is listed as a town marshall on page 44...could this be him?
