This is probably about 1941-42 season. Left to Right: Alene Cook, Genida Ray, Gladys Attaway, Juanita Mann, Rowena Fussell, and Margie Nell Williams. As most of you know Ocmulgee was a fine state-of-the-art model rural brick school complete with gymnasium. At first we thought the building in the background was the gym but we were told the gymnasium was a wooden building and that the building in the background was the school building. Sadly, it burned to the ground in 1945. Aunt Margie said the colors were Blue and Gold. Can anyone remember the school mascot (team name) at that time? If you do, let me know.
