Workmore's Dobson Motel & Restaurant

Many Thanks to Danny Harbin

If I remember correctly Dobson's Motor Court was the first establishment built there on the Dobson property. Mrs. Dobson was a teacher at Workmore School. Later, Mr. and Mrs. Fuller acquired the motor court and coffee shop. They were nice to us and they welcomed our school teams as we waited for the bus to go to an out-of-town basketball game. If you go to the NEXT image you will see that Mr. and Mrs. Fuller changed the name of the motel court.

This photo brings back long ago memories. The Fuller's owned this establishment years ago and I remember "spinnng myself silly" on the old soda fountain stools while my mother, Myrtle Rawlins White visited with the proprieters. Such fond memories, also of the Wooten store across the street. My uncle, Cliff Rawlins resided on the family farm for a number of years after my grandparents passed away and my sister Joy and I have such good memories of visiting.
