This was my first visit to your galleries, and I look forward to returning often. I was impressed and moved by the Hebrides work. Best wishes, Gary
Hi Al Lovely shots of the Uists and you clearly have a talent for capturing dogs. Enjoyed your portfolio and will drop back from time to time Thanks Andy
your beautiful Hebridean pictures lured me to the islands a few weeks ago.
One specific question: how do you attach the Nikkor wide angle lens to your Canon? Are any functions lost?
Lovely pics~ you truely have an eye for capturing true beauty.
Good luck, See ya, Carmen

Great work Al with a good eye for composition and dramatic interest. I spend a fair bit of time working in and around the Chilterns and enjoy scenes like these every day I'm out. More please!
Hi Al, thanks for leaving a message. I must say I am always delighted when I see in my favourites group that you have uploaded new images. Keep them coming as long as you enjoy going out with your camera! Best, Jeroen
Your photography is outstanding, and makes me feel like I'm viewing paintings in an art gallery! I'm from the USA, but totally fell in love with your country while visiting about a year ago. I hope you never tire of photography, your work is so very beautiful!
Beautiful country you live in and excellent photography.
I have just discovered your photographs and am really impressed. Having been a student in Mill Hill 10 years ago and now living in the Chilterns makes it more special! I have been trying photography of fungi too but can hardly find them! I look forward to seeing more of your photos now I have bookmarked the site.
Excellent work and quite inspiring. Stoko
A very interesting set of galleries, I will certainly call back over the coming weeks and months.
Keep on snapping,
You're already very good and I'm sure you'll post even better work in the future.
Very nice galleries great use of lighting, stunning landscapes.
Thanks for the comment on my Cocker Spaniel Ellie. Found your Springer! Cheers
Just wanted to say that I admire your work. I will PMail you on the sharpness issue.
Thanks for your comments on my Monteverde fern. I used Lightroom to do a little de-noise and smooth it out a bit. Plus I used Lightroom to crop and bring out the blacks and added some luminance to the red. This can be seen here
Second update was to take the Lightroom version into Photoshop and soften the background using Blur tool, then smudged it a bit along with the vine in the lower right corner. Then I dodged the light areas of the background. I thought I liked the vine in the bottom right, esp. with the moss tendril creeping around it. Hmmm. The second version is posted here
Fantastic photos. I've just discovered this website from a friend who is travelling and posting her photos on here.
Just wanted to say I think your photos are brilliant.
Your galleries are in my watching list.
Your work is quite astonishing!
