These are two Indian "Shenai" in different sizes, the bigger one is capable of a wider range of tones. Like with the Chinese "Suona", the mouthpiece used for playing is the most impoartant part of the instrument.

A double ox-horn flute which is called "Bi Doi" in Vietnam - (the shown flute is actually from Morocco and called "Gas-Sbaa" but exactly the same model - it's a small world) ;-)

The Ney flute exists in several forms in Arabia, Persia and Turkey. The picture shows a turkish model using a special mouth piece. This ancient flute is assumed to be 4500 years old and shares the blowing techniques of the Shakuhachi and Xiao flutes in Japan and China.
