Cedar Apple Rust

After more than 20 years, I discovered through fallen apples in my perennial bed that we had an apple tree...and that it is severely infected with cedar apple rust fungus. Strangely, the young apples don't look terribly affected. https://www.extension.purdue.edu/extmedia/bp/bp-137-w.pdf
