but...it's way too big. Don't know why I made the association, but I guessed that it might be a female rose breasted grosbeak since I had seen a male two days ago. Checked Google Images and it IS a female! Have never seen these in the spring before, and in fact have only seen these birds 2X in 22 years here - and those times were in October when they were migrating through.
