I keep two of these within reach as they come in handy when (usually) a tree falls on power lines.

A couple of days ago a fierce rainstorm with high winds whipped through here and thousands of people were without power. Our immediate area had over 600 homes without power and it took 23 hours for our power to be restored by Duke Energy who were working their patooties off. Many kudos to the brave people who worked so hard to put things back in order.
