Male with the red stripe leading from the beak, is at the left. Female doesn't have that stripe.
Never in a million years did I think I'd still find both Mr. and Mrs. pileated woodpecker on the feeder when I returned from grabbing my camera from another room...and it seemed even more unlikely that I'd get them in focus without my glasses! BUT...shooting from across the room and crouching down to avoid the wood between the upper and lower window panes I managed to get one very overexposed picture, since I didn't have time to change the settings on the camera. Thankfully, Photoshop came to the rescue! I love that software.
