_1090104 Nice if you have a wild spot

I'm not sure I should have asked my neighbor for some seeds from her belamcandas (blackberry lily). They have notoriously self seeded and I've pulled many a plant from where I don't want it, but the touches of orange are attractive in the mess that is my side slope, which I've given up on weeding. When you're house is in the middle of woods, it's irrational to try to landscape everything! (The foliage on the right is from a cleome plant.) Next image is a closeup of the flower. The variegated vinca spread from some included in a gift plant a few years ago. It's incredibly vigorous and has beautiful lavender flowers in the spring.
