It's nice to have the f/1.7 but this lens should be used on a camera that FOCUSES FAST AND HAS STABILIZATION! The Oly E-PL1 has stabilization but does not focus fast with it. I'm sure this would work great on the E-P3 (which I don't have). 1/20 of a second handheld on this camera offers marginal sharpness.
